A CAKE, bread and chocolate maker has been named Stallholder of the Year at Edinburgh Farmers' Market.
Robert Linton, of Falko Konditormeister, which also has a shop on Bruntsfield Place, won the award after a poll of people who attend the market.

Falko, which uses traditional handcrafted methods to create its products, won the award for the fourth year in a row after getting 18 per cent of the votes.

Mr Linton said: "It's really rewarding to see the hard work of our team being recognised by visitors to the Farmers' Market, especially up against so many excellent producers.

"We would like to thank everyone who took the time to vote and we will continue to provide the best produce that we can."

Richard Darke, events manager at market organiser Essential Edinburgh, said: "We would like to congratulate Falko's team who are worthy winners and always popular with visitors to the market."

The market takes place every Saturday at Castle Terrace.
